  • XMLProperty limitations?

Hi, I've been struggling for the last few days trying to get a schema accepted by codesmith. No matter what I tried I was getting an error about xmlns="" being unexpected. Anyway, I've now got it accepted, sort of. There were two problems: 1) I was using references within the xsd, eg...

  • Generating from XML source / Adding entities not existing in DB

Hi, What I want to do is define new entities (not in DB) and maybe add properties to database entities in some xml file and have it generated every time I regenerate the .nettiers projects. Since some of these entites and properties aren't in the DB at all they can't be refenced to in the generated...

  • Re: XmlSchemaProvider

After some testing and debugging, the Xml based schema provider is ready for some testing. • Consuming a FOR XML Proc

I am in the process of converting a site (written by someone else) to use .net tiers on the back end. We have a number of stored procs which return XML. The reasoning behind generating the XML within a proc is solid and is the most efficient way getting the desired data. I've been searching the forums...

  • Re: Read Settings from a XML File

Hello Giuseppe, Please take a look at the sample xml templates that ship with CodeSmith. I think this is exactly what your looking for. Please keep in mind that since the template logic is written in C# or VB.Net, you can leverage all the power of the .Net framework inside of CodeSmith. Thanks -Blake
