Hello,

I was unable to reproduce this using the latest version of postgres. It could be that the user you are connecting as does not have read permissions to those tables... Could you check this.

Hi Blake,

I took your advice. I did a diff, but found nothing. So I recreated the classes in a normal project, then reapplied the NetTiers changes, readded them and Voila! All is fine. I suspect the resx file was corrupt.

Hello,

My apologies, the ParameterPrefix is supposed to be set to String.Empty for Oracle. I just took a second look at the code. The error above is due to an error in the generated procedures xml file. If you could post that it would be a big help. I'm also installing oracle to take a closer look.

Hello,

One could generate against one database and then add a second copy of all the the outputs (dbml, entities, queries) to the same csp or a new csp. One would need to update these copies to point to the second database and update the namespaces and names correctly. Then all you would need todo is regenerate. This would allow you to consume multiple databases in one application.

Yes, I think it is. You probably stumbled on a bug for the "Parent" relationship.

The parent relationship was after thought really and some people liked having, while others hate it. It add's alot of overhead to keep track of the "Parent" relationship when serializing objects.

I would step through the deepload and see why the parent isn't getting set on those collections.

Thanks for the update. I really wish they would be more lenient with their libraries. You should be able to connect via their libraries via 32bit and 64bit as well as any version of .NET greater than the SharePoint compiled assembly version (E.G., .NET 4.0 and 4.5 can consume .NET 3.5 assemblies with no issues).

Hello,

The Source still contains the projects and solution for everything minus SchemaHelper. SchemaHelper is added as a reference to the projects. This ensures that you will be using the same version of assemblies. Also the latest nightly builds all contain the same version of SchemaHelper.

Hello,

If you have already accessed the commands property or any property on the Source Database (if deepload is set to true) then it will be cached locally. You can press the refresh button in the propertygrid to refresh the cache.

I'd recommend calling a SourceDatabase.Refresh() after setting this property to true. If you have IncludeFunctions declared in your property directive then you shouldn't need to worry about refreshing the source database.

Do you have to use version 5.2? I'd recommend using the latest version. How did you get that trial link (http://......ef260460c7)? Was that the one that was sent to you yesterday? Would you mind forwarding the trial email you received yesterday to support@codesmithtools.com so I could investigate this) The reason you are getting that error is because you are trying to enter in a 6.x trial key into a 5.x install.

Can you please post the full stack trace of the errors you are getting when running the template?

Hello,

I didn't get that error when opening the designer. I did get an error because the CartDataGridViewBase was marked as abstract. This is because you must drop this control onto a forms design surface for it to be visible. Designer errors may occur when trying to view these controls without first dropping them onto a form or user control.

Using IE 9 on Win 7, and just pasting in some text from notepad. I sent an email, and got an answer - I was missing "using CodeSmith.Insight.Model" to get the extension methods.
