CodeSmith Community

Just curious before I hand over my money.  What is the future looking like for CodeSmith?  It seems there hasn't been a major update since 4.0 was released November of 2006.  Obviously, the product's future doesn't diminish it's appeal today, but it is interesting in an industry that seems so driven to constently release new "functionality".  Has some competitor arrived on the market thus making CodeSmith not so much worthwhile an investment by Telligent?  Or am I just over anxious?

The future of CodeSmith is looking great. Don’t be fooled by the last release date, as we are actively releasing bug fixes and working on the next version of CodeSmith.

The next version will be CodeSmith 5.0 and will have many new features and enhancements to CodeSmith overall. I can’t comment on what the new features of CodeSmith 5.0 will be or when it will be released. But you may be able to dig up some of that information in various forum posts :). The only thing I can tell you is that it will be awesome :D.
