Regenerate is a headache problem, improve it will be a great feature.

Let's search "regeneate" in .netTiers forums, we can see more than 150 items list here about "regenerate". .netTiers is a greate template for CodeSmith, can produce fine quality application code and no code a line. But when we add new column or change any database structure, we have to regenerete code, and lose our changes, so, regerate has become a headache problem, but it's not .netTiers' faults. How to avoid regenerate, and keep up our changes will be the next .netTiers' feature. We need a more intelligent solution. Thanks for .netTiers team.

I think you may be confused.  If you place your own code in the correct places (and there are plenty of them and they are well documented in teh code/forums/wiki) you will not loses anything.

The whole point of Codesmith/netTiers is to gen against a database - I don't think theres any way that the code could "automagically" work out what has changed on the db and change the code as necessary - essentially this is what a regen does and should not cause you any problems.

Have you read the wiki - I think it may be a good starting place for you.
