It's been awhile since I've used Codesmith, but now my company is looking to purchase a license. There's one feature that we definitely want, and I was hoping someone could tell me if it has been implemented. Can Codesmith add multiple files directly to multiple Visual Studio projects?
We got Codesmith to generate all our layer files from a single table, but it was always a real pain to actually have to manually add those files to the projects. If Codesmith can not only generate all the files we need in one go (we know it can do that), but also add those files to our projects, all from within VS 2005, we will be very happy. If it can't, we will have to try and develop that ourselves.
Here's a bit more detail, just so you know what I'm asking. We have projects for our presentation layer, business layer, data layer, and a common layer that contains our entities. We currently select a table in our database and generate all the files for those projects at one time via Codesmith, so we would need it to add files to multiple projects. The projects are pre-existing, since we have a big app.
